Project 16: Vital Sign Monitoring System

Vital Sign Monitoring

Problem Statement

Monitoring the vital signs of patients is critical in healthcare settings to track their health status. Current systems for monitoring vital signs can be expensive and require specialized equipment, making them less accessible in remote or resource-limited areas. There is a need for a portable, affordable, and reliable system that can monitor vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation in real-time.

Description

This project focuses on developing a vital sign monitoring system that uses sensors and a microcontroller to continuously measure vital signs such as heart rate, body temperature, and oxygen saturation. The system displays the readings on a screen and can send alerts via GSM when any of the vital signs exceed safe thresholds. It is designed for use in home care, remote patient monitoring, or ambulatory settings.
