Problem Statement

Many patients, especially the elderly or those with chronic diseases, often forget to take their prescribed medications at the right times, which can lead to serious health complications. Existing solutions, such as manual pillboxes or reminder alarms, are often inefficient or unreliable. There is a need for an automated, reliable pill dispenser that ensures timely medication intake and prevents missed doses.

Description

This project aims to develop an automated pill dispenser system using a microcontroller that ensures medication is dispensed at the right time. The system includes a rotating mechanism that dispenses the correct pill, based on the patient's medication schedule, and can be controlled remotely or via a display. Alerts are sent via GSM in case a dose is missed or there is any malfunction in the system. The project aims to provide better healthcare management for patients with complex medication schedules.
