Project 31: Lung Volume Monitor
Monitoring lung volume is essential for patients with respiratory diseases, such as asthma, COPD, or post-surgery recovery. Existing devices are often expensive and unavailable in rural clinics. There is a need for an affordable, portable, and easy-to-use lung volume monitoring solution.
This system measures the volume of air inhaled and exhaled by a patient using a spirometer connected to a microcontroller. It displays the data in real time on an LCD and can store it for further analysis or transmit it via Bluetooth/Wi-Fi. The device helps in early detection of respiratory problems and assists in therapy adjustments.
