Many patients suffering from chronic conditions such as asthma and heart disease require continuous monitoring, especially in remote or underserved areas where access to immediate healthcare is limited. Existing systems are often expensive, bulky, or require hospital infrastructure. There is a need for a portable, affordable, and real-time health monitoring solution capable of sending alerts during critical situations.
This project involves the development of a smart health monitoring system using the ESP32 microcontroller. The system continuously monitors vital parameters such as heart rate, blood oxygen levels, body temperature, and ambient air quality. In the event of abnormal readings, it triggers an emergency alert via GSM and shares the GPS location of the patient. The data is also shown on a display for real-time tracking.
