Project 60: Smart Gas Leakage Detection and Alert System
Gas leaks in homes, restaurants, and industries pose serious safety hazards including fire outbreaks and explosions. Manual detection is not always timely, making automated detection and alerting systems crucial for preventing accidents and ensuring safety.
This system uses gas sensors (like MQ-5 or MQ-135) interfaced with a microcontroller to continuously monitor air quality. When gas levels exceed a safe threshold, the system triggers an alarm and sends an SMS alert using a GSM module. Some versions can automatically switch off the gas valve using a servo motor or relay.
