Project 57: Automatic Bin

Automatic Bin

Problem Statement

In many public and private places, people are reluctant to touch waste bins due to hygiene concerns, resulting in littering. There is a growing need for contactless waste disposal to encourage sanitary practices and prevent the spread of germs.

Description

This project involves the design of an automatic, contactless waste bin that uses an ultrasonic sensor and a servo motor. When a person approaches the bin, the lid opens automatically and closes after a set time. It is powered by an Arduino microcontroller and powered by a battery or solar source, promoting hygiene and convenience in waste disposal.
